Save Your Sanity with CRM Integrations

We know that many Wufoo customers use their Wufoo forms to help them save time and run their business as smoothly as possible. You guys do everything from managing mailing lists, creating registration forms, accepting online orders, and capturing leads from potential clients and customers. Another way to help you save even more time (and yes, that oh-so-important sanity!) is to integrate your forms with a CRM. Ever thought about connecting your forms to a CRM? Good, because this blog post’s for you.

So without further ado, here are three CRM integrations that we’ve integrated with—for good reason, they’re awesome—that you’re going to want to check out and see which one is right for you and your business. And don’t forget, these are just a sampling. We have a ton of other integration partners to choose from too.

Agile CRM

A relative newcomer to Wufoo’s stable of integrations, Agile CRM uses webhooks to connect your Wufoo form to Agile CRM. It’s super easy to setup and they’ve created a really easy to follow and thorough guide to setup your integration. Agile lets you easily push form entries to their system to quickly setup a contact within Agile CRM. You can even pass in tags and other pieces of information you want to track on a per contact basis. And from Agile CRM, you can then integrate with other websites and applications to kick off automated marketing campaigns based off this information.

Capsule

Another great CRM that’s popular with other Wufoo users is CapsuleCRM. Capsule also uses webhooks to seamlessly integrate your Wufoo forms with their service. Using CapsuleCRM, you’ll be able to create Wufoo contact forms and have the contacts automatically show up in CapsuleCRM for you to manage. From there, you’ll be able to keep the conversation going with your leads and hopefully turn them into customers!

Solve CRM

The final most popular CRM amongst your fellow Wufoo users is Solve. Solve CRM also uses webhooks to setup and integrate your Wufoo forms with their CRM application. Using Solve CRM, you can also push contact’s information from your Wufoo forms to Solve CRM to allow you to manage and cultivate the relationship and conversation between you and potential customers. Solve CRM also has a nice integration with Google Apps as well as many integrations with other services to extend your ability to manage your leads. Plus, they have a great walkthrough video!

Back To Basics: Wufoo Integrations

It’s time for another edition of our Back To Basics series. In this edition, we’re going to take a look at Wufoo’s integrations with other applications and web sites and show how they can save you time, make your life easier, and make your Wufoo forms powerful and extensible.

As always, our Back To Basics series is aimed at newer Wufoo customers and users who might not yet be familiar with the wealth of features Wufoo offers. It might be too simplistic for some Wufoo Vets but I bet if you stick around, you might learn something new that you can do with Wufoo. And if not, you might be able to share your experiences with other Wufoo users and help make everyone’s life that much better. Either way, onward!

What Are Integrations?

If you’re not familiar with the idea of integrations, here’s your crash course. Integrations are features Wufoo and other sites have built that allow you to extend the functionality of your Wufoo account and forms.

Most Wufoo integrations work by connecting your Wufoo account or form to a 3rd party application or web site. After connecting, new entries submitted to your Wufoo forms will be automatically sent over to the 3rd party app or web site where the entry can be parsed, processed, and used for a bunch of purposes.

Got it? Good. Now let’s go through the types of integrations Wufoo offers.

Real Time Notification Integrations

Real time notification integrations are the types of integrations that I described before. When a new entry is submitted to one of your forms, the data for your entry is automatically and immediately sent over to the integration partner.

A great example of a real time notification integration is Wufoo’s integration with MailChimp. Say you have a Mailing List sign up form on your site and whenever someone signs up, you want their contact information to be automatically added into MailChimp so that you can easily email them.

Using the MailChimp integration, you can connect your form to your MailChimp account, and whenever a new entry is submitted to your form, their contact information is automatically and immediately added to your MailChimp mailing list. No more having to copy and paste data and information from Wufoo to another site.

Sounds awesome, right? It gets even better because Wufoo has 32 real time notification partners from Asana, to Salesforce, all the way down to Z with a Zapier integration.

Think that’s all? Wrong. There’s more!

Payment Integrations

If you’re looking to accept payments through your Wufoo forms, you’re in luck. Wufoo offers integrations with seven payment servicesStripe, PayPal, Braintree, Authorize.Net, Chargify, USA ePay, and FreshBooks—so you’ll be able to accept online payments with your preferred payment service.

I won’t go into too much detail about our payments integrations here other than they’re ridiculously easy to setup and your business can easily start accepting payments online. If you’re interested in a deeper dive into each of the payment services, our very own Aubriane Taylor walked through each service in a payments blog post and helps you choose the best service based on your needs and their features.

3rd Party Application Integrations

These next set of integrations are our 3rd party application integrations. These integrations believe in the value of Wufoo so much that they’ve incorporated access to our features and the data collected by your Wufoo forms on their side of the fence.

These integrations easily allow you to embed your Wufoo forms into their apps or sites (like adding your Wufoo mailing list form to your site with website creators such as Squarespace, Wix, Strikingly, Yola, or Spacecraft), or adding a Wufoo form to your Facebook page). These integrations allow you to add your Wufoo goodness to their apps and web sites and make enhance the features of apps you use.

Mobile Application Integrations

If you’re on the go, these mobile application integrations allow you to take your Wufoo data with you. These integrations allow you to use your mobile phone or tablet to accept entries to your Wufoo forms (like with Entries) , or to create mobile optimized web sites and add Wufoo to them (like with Mojaba). Just really cool integrations with mobile in mind.

Content Management System Integrations

If you use WordPress, Drupal, Confluence, or other content management systems to run your site and business and you’d like to add some Wufoo goodness, you’re in the right place. Wufoo offers several integrations for content management systems and allow you to seamlessly add your Wufoo forms into your CMS and accept entries and submissions from your users and customers right within your CMS driven site.


With all of these Wufoo integrations, you can truly extend and enhance the functionality of your Wufoo account and forms. There are so many integrations and so many use cases and work flows that it would be impossible to cover them all in one blog post. How to Stay on Top of Leads with ClinchPad and Wufoo

How to Use This Integration

  1. To get started with integrating Wufoo with ClinchPad, click on Settings from the top menu.

  2. Select Integrations from the left menu.

  3. Scroll down until you find Wufoo and click on Manage Integration.

  4. Click on Integrate New Form. Fill in the Form Name exactly as it appears in Wufoo in the popup that appears. A Wufoo label Name is shown, circled. If you’d like whatever is entered in this Wufoo field to be the Lead Name in ClinchPad, enter the label Name in the Lead Name textbox.

  5. Similarly, do the same for Contacts, Products, Zones and Sources if applicable and select a Pipeline and Stage where the Lead should be created in.

  6. After you create a form, use the highlighted URL and handshake key when you create a Webhook in Wufoo. You can find a guide to creating webhooks in Wufoo here.

Once done, you should see Leads being created in ClinchPad whenever your Wufoo form is submitted. There you have it—clinch that top spot thanks to our sweet integration.

    Introducing Magi Metrics & Wufoo: Importing Data Into Microsoft Excel Made Easy

    Log into Wufoo > Click on your form > Bulk actions > Export > As Excel (.xls) file > Open in Excel > Select all > Copy > Paste into your spreadsheet.

    Sound familiar? If it does, by all means read on. And even if it doesn’t? Read on anyway—you’ll learn something! If you do find yourself clicking through that flow every day in Wufoo, then pay attention because we have super swell news to share with all of you. Your Excel life just got better. Infinitely better.

    Say hello to our Excel plugin—Magi Metrics. It automates, simplifies, speeds up and generally makes the process of importing data from Wufoo into Excel a truly awesome experience. Once installed, you’ll have a new tab appear in your Excel ribbon called Magi Metrics. Just click on the Refresh button, and then boom—all of your Wufoo data is imported into your Excel spreadsheet. Now that’s what we like to call a truly magical experience, people.

    To Use This Integration

    1. Head on over to Magi Metrics and hit the Signup for free button.

    2. Once you’re logged in to the Magi Metrics website, click on Wufoo and enter your Wufoo username and password.

    3. Download and install the Excel plugin.

    That’s it. Really. You’re ready to start importing data from Wufoo directly into Excel. Simply select the Wufoo form from the drop-down box and click Import data.

    Asana and Wufoo: Get More Done with Less Effort

    Bear with us for one sec. Sit up straight. Take a deep breath. Square those shoulders. Feels better, doesn’t it? When you’re centered and in alignment, it’s so much easier to stay focused on getting stuff done without distraction. The team behind the web and mobile app, Asana, knows just how important focus and alignment is when it comes to productivity.

    Awesome productivity doesn’t always come easy either. There’s a lot of mindfulness involved in collecting the right information and organizing all the different channels of communication that come into your business. Ok, so mindfulness is probably too nice of a word to describe this process. Sometimes it’s downright tedious and difficult to do.

    This is where Wufoo enters the picture. Our integration with Asana enables you to interact with your data in ways that would be otherwise impossible with your standard database. You can truly make your information dynamic and actionable—add attachments or connect data with other relevant Asana tasks without spending hours on spine-crunching data entry or on creating complicated forms.

    Here are just a few of the abilities available to you as a result of our partnership:

    • Enter bug details for bug/issue tracking

    • Capture sales leads and manage them directly in Asana

    To Use This Integration

    1. First, set up a Wufoo form. Go to Wufoo and create a form with some custom fields. You can either use the Wufoo form on your own site as an embed or via the Wufoo link.

    1. Next, you’ll link your Wufoo form to an Asana project using Webhooks. This way any information submitted to your forms will automatically be directed to your Asana project.

    2. To do so, you’ll first need to find your Asana Webhook URL. The Asana Webhook URLs follow this structure:

    > http://wufoo.asana.com/project/project_id

    You can find your Asana project ID by looking at the first set of numbers in your Asana project URL. For example, in this Asana app URL (https://app.asana.com/0/10198701095429/10198701095429) the highlighted portion of the URL is your project ID. Simply copy this project ID, add it to the Webhook URL structure above, and that’s your Asana Webhook URL!

    1. Next, you’ll need to generate a Personal Access Token for Wufoo. You can generate this Personal Access Token in your Asana [My Profile Settings](https://asana.com/guide/help/api/api#sts=Personal Access Tokens) . Simply generate a Token and copy it over to Wufoo. Be sure to copy it, since you won’t be able to view it later!

     

    PAC_in_Asana

    1. Now that we have your Asana Webhook URL and your Asana Personal Access Token, you can now setup your Wufoo form to automatically send data to your Asana project.

    To do so, go to the Notification Settings for your Wufoo form. Add a Webhook notification to your form, enter in your Asana Webhook URL (make sure there’s no “/” at the end), then add your Asana Personal Access Token in the Handshake Key field. Click save and you’re set!

    Personal Access Code

    1. Now, sit back and watch as data from your Wufoo forms automatically gets sent to your Asana projects!

    Want to ramp this up a notch or three? You can even set up an optional deeper integration. We’ve added functionality that allows you to create custom routing from your Wufoo form to your Asana project. Your form’s submissions can appear in Asana with a specific tags or assignees based on the selections made within your Wufoo form.     3. Return to your SpaceCraft account and sign in, select “Connections” > “Forms” > “Connect” in the Wufoo block.
    4. Type in the subdomain you chose for your Wufoo account, paste in the API Key and click “Save”.
    5. Go to the page where you want the form to live, click “Add content blocks” and add the “Form block.” Simply choose the form you created from the drop-down list and you’re good to go.

    How To Collect More Leads Using Unbounce Landing Pages and Wufoo

    If you’re using Wufoo forms to collect data and build your leads list, you’re probably going to be interested in how to increase the number of leads you’re gathering. Am I right? The real question is not whether you want to get more leads, it’s how to get more leads.

    You can do this in two ways: 1) Send more traffic to your form.

    2) Get your forms to convert better.

    If you’re not sure, I’ll make it easy for you. Go for option 2—Get your forms to convert better. The best way to do this? Create a better experience on the landing page that houses your form.

    Removing distraction

    The reason that landing pages are so effective at increasing conversions is that they’re designed to focus your visitor’s attention on one thing, and one thing only—your conversion goal. In this case the form.

    If you’ve ever seen a form on a homepage, or any other website page for that matter, you’ll have noticed that there are many other things that you could choose to do instead of completing the form. You could navigate to a different page, or you could click on one of many interesting photos, links or promotions. Choices are great when you’re deciding which color of paint to put on your bedroom wall. But when it comes to marketing, the more choices there are, the lower your conversion rates will be. Fact.

    Maximizing attention ratio

    An average homepage has about 50 links on it. Which means the element you want people to interact with (your form) has approximately a 2% share of the interaction potential of your page (50:1). Compare this to a focused landing page that has only one interaction point—this equates to a 100% share of the interaction potential (1:1).

    Unbounce + Wufoo

    Yep, you got it. Using Wufoo and Unbounce together allows you to leverage the power and flexibility of Wufoo’s extensive form designer, with the focused experience and A/B testing provided by Unbounce landing pages. In the rest of this post, I’ll walk you through the process of integrating Unbounce and Wufoo so you can start increasing your conversion rates right away.

    The diagram below illustrates the 7-step workflow we’ll follow to set things up to create a testable landing page for your Wufoo form.

    Step 1: Build a Wufoo Form

    Creating your form in Wufoo is just as easy as ever. The important part of this process is that you choose to redirect to a custom Thank You page when the form is submitted. You can do this in Wufoo in the “Form Settings” panel.

    The URL you put in here will be for the Unbounce thank you page that we’ll cover in step 4. Don’t worry, it’s easy to come back and add this URL later once the page is built.

    Step 2: Build a landing page in Unbounce

    Inside the Unbounce landing page builder, you can choose from a suite of templates or design your own page from scratch. We’ll start with a template, and remove the default form so that you can add your awesome new Wufoo form.

    This shows how an example template will look inside Unbounce.

    Select the form and delete it so you have space for your Wufoo form.

    Step 3: Embed your Wufoo form

    Returning to Wufoo, you can grab the embed code for your form as shown.

    Back in your Unbounce landing page, you can drag and drop a “Custom HTML” element (<>) from the left menu, to where you would like the form to appear and paste the Wufoo embed code in the window shown.

    Step 4: Create a Thank You page and add the tracking script

    The confirmation (thank you) page is what’s shown after your form is submitted. This is a really important page as it gives you the opportunity to leverage post-conversion marketing. You can also give your new lead a call to action before they leave—follow you on social networking sites, share the landing page with a friend, or offer a freebie.

    Now, in order to track the conversions all the way from your original landing page (through Wufoo) and back to this thank you page, you add the Unbounce external tracking script to your Thank You page by adding a new Javascript at bottom of the page.

    Step 5: View leads in Wufoo reports

    Now that your setup is complete, you will be capturing your leads in Wufoo as normal, and you can view them in the reports section. This is where the really cool part happens. Now that you’ve got an Unbounce landing page set up with your Wufoo form in it, you can start A/B testing your page and form to increase your conversion rates.

    Step 6: Set up an A/B test page variant

    To run an A/B test you need to create a duplicate version of your landing page, make some changes and run the two pages against each other in a test experiment.

    There are two types of test you can run at this point:

    1. Same form different page This is where you get creative on your landing page, changing copy and design elements to try and improve your conversion rates based on the page messaging. You use the same Wufoo form on both pages.

    2. Same page different form In this instance, you’d use exactly the same landing page for A and B, with the only difference being the Wufoo form that’s on your page. You might want to test a long form against a short form, so your page remains the same, and the number of fields in your Wufoo form changes.

    Step 7: Track your conversion rates

    Now that your landing page and Wufoo form are connected, you’ll be able to track the conversion rates of each landing page. Below is the Unbounce dashboard where you’d see the conversion stats for your A/B test. (In this example the stats are still at zero because we’ve not sent any traffic to the page yet).

    There you have it! By embedding your Wufoo forms in an Unbounce landing page, you can create a highly tailored and focused experience for your visitors. Start A/B testing your pages and those amazing forms of yours in order to increase those conversion rates.
