Where's Wufoo? · January 2010

This one is for our friends in our neck of the woods. We’re hoping to reach out and get in on more activities in our own community this year and we wanted to let you know about some events we’ll be participating in next week.

##Free Freemium Workshop

Wed, Jan 27, 2010, 6pm – 8pm
**[IdeaField Offices](http://ideafield.ning.com/page/about-1)**

I’ll be doing a free 2 hour workshop for freemium model web businesses in the Tampa Bay area about how to work on converting free users to paid users. The workshop is designed to be fairly hands on with exercises designed to show you how to look at your product and feature set to maximize your conversions. If you’re interested, please let us know you’re coming by registering here:

[Register for the Freemium Workshop!](https://master.wufoo.com/forms/free-freemium-workshop-registration/)

I’ll be showcasing a number of examples and also present some of the research, strategies and best practices our company has gathered to inform what we do here at Wufoo. It should be a lot of fun and it’ll actually serve as a testing ground for some new ideas I’m hoping to work out for my workshop at [FOWA](http://events.carsonified.com/fowa/2010/miami/).

Many thanks goes out to Linda Olson of [WOMBeat](http://www.wombeat.com/) and the guys at [IdeaField](http://ideafield.ning.com) for helping me get this together so quickly.

##Southwest Florida BarCamp

Sat, Jan 30, 2010, 10am – 4pm
**[Edison State College](http://www.barcampswfl.com/category/location/)**

The Wufoo Team will be representin’ and presentin’ at the [Southwest Florida BarCamp](http://www.barcampswfl.com/) in Ft. Meyers. For those of you that are interested, I’ll be talking about our company’s **Support Driven Development** approach to software design and development. We’re really looking forward to it, since this will be the first Florida BarCamp of the new year.

If you’re a fan of Wufoo or are just interested in trying to be more active in the Florida tech scene, please do try and make it out to these events. And definitely say hello! We’d love to meet you.

  • It’d be fantastic if you could record these events – even a simple audio recording would provide tremendous value to those of us not in the same state, country or continent as your good selves. I think you guys have a really unique take on this business and I would love to hear you speak about it. Alas, I am several thousand miles away and have a business to run.
