30 Day Update of Notification Integrations

It’s been about a month since we launched our [real time notification platform](http://www.wufoo.com/2010/01/20/send-real-time-updates-from-wufoo-to-your-favorite-web-apps/) and we wanted to share a number of great updates that we’ve made to the different services we’ve integrated with thanks to your initial feedback interacting with and using the system.

###Mailing List Integration Improvements

– **Field Matching** – In [Campaign Monitor](http://campaignmonitor.com) and [MailChimp](http://mailchimp.com), we quickly implemented an intuitive custom field matching interface so that you can easily assign the data you’re collecting in Wufoo to the structured data you’re accepting and using on your favorite email newsletter software.

– **Checkbox Conditionals** – We also added the ability to only send news entries to MailChimp and Campaign Monitor based on whether a user checks a checkbox on your Wufoo form. Just add a checkbox to your form, let us know which one to base the condition off of and Bam! you have a quick and easy opt-in feature for your Wufoo mailing list forms.

30 Days of Improvements for Notifications

###Highrise Integration Improvements

– **Notes and Tags** – A number of you shared with us that you couldn’t get access to the leads you were collecting from Wufoo in [Highrise](http://highrisehq.com) easily unless they have Notes and Tags attached to them. Within a week, we added these features so you can easily sort and access new contacts in your Highrise dashboard as soon as they’re entered in Wufoo. Additionally, we also empowered these Notes and Tags to be able to use our [Templating API](https://help.wufoo.com/articles/en_US/kb/Templating/), so you can still insert data dynamically from your Wufoo from that doesn’t match Highrise’s predetermined fields.

– **Detect Duplicate Entries** – Wufoo will now do a check against the name and email address of your current contacts before creating a new contact. This way you won’t get multiple copies of the same contact in Highrise if they submitted to your Wufoo form multiple times.

Again, thanks to everyone for all your great feedback! We’ve been blown away by the response to the real time notification features and can’t wait to show you what else we have planned for our new platform.

  • Detect Duplicate Entries:

Please detail the rules for this so that we know what to expect in HR and what might be missing.

  • Very exciting stuff, glad to see all the energy behind this..

I’d just like to put out my vote for integrations with

    1. Basecamp, entries become new messages so that we can use wufoo for a new project request system..

    2. Salesforce, this would be the perfect solution for our web-2-lead forms, and web to case forms.

Would love to see this functionality added

    Thanks!

  • Would like to see the Twitter integration that was said to be coming in a week….four weeks ago 😉

Posted February 19th, 2010 by Tom.
  • Hey Tom, we would too! Unfortunately, there were a few features we wanted to iron out before releasing it. One big change was converting it over to using oAuth for authentication rather than their old method. Plus, we felt like all of these improvements for current integrations released had priority and that also added to the hold up. It is very close though and I think you’ll be delighted when it’s out.

  • Is there a setting to activate the new “Detect Duplicate Entries” feature for highrise? We are currently still getting duplicates even when the name and email are exactly the same. Thanks for your help!

  • How about the option to choose which fields from my wufoo form to send to campaign monitor….

Posted February 19th, 2010 by Jarrid.
  • @Brandon, could you please send a request to support@wufoo.com. I’m unable to reproduce your issue.

Posted February 19th, 2010 by Tim Sabat.
  • @Jarrid, we do provide the ability to match fields in wufoo to custom fields in Campaign Monitor. Simply add new custom fields in CM and when you’re creating your integration, click Match Fields.

  • @Ofb, what Google Docs application did you have in mind? The obvious fit is Spreadsheet, but I’m interested to know if there’s any other use case.

  • @Tom, Twitter integrations are live. We’ll be announcing them today.

  • Love the new notification integrations with Highrise and Mailchimp. When someone submits the contact form from our website, it does the following:
    1) Sends the information to us via email (and all of the other nice things wufoo already did)
    2) Adds the contact person, their info and company to Highrise
    3) If they checked the box to subscribe to our newsletter it adds them to our Mailchimp list
    4) Email to Highrise also creates a task to follow-up (just to make sure nobody slips through the cracks

Now, that’s what I call wufoo contact form multitasking!

Pretty slick guys—keep up the great work. My only complaint is that I wish we had come up with what you’ve got first!

  • Huge ginormous kudos to Tim Sabat in wufoo Support for quickly working out some of the early kinks in my wufoo-Highrise connection. It’s working like a champ now buddy. Thanks again!! Team Wuffo, my hat is off to you! =)

  • I started using Highrise a few months ago but recently I found solve360 from norada.com
I converted all my information and am solely using solve360 for all my CRM and Project Management.

I find this webapp extremely well done and would love to know if you know these guys and if we could expect some integration in the future with notification integrations.

    Thanks,

  • I’d love to see integration with Google Contacts. I use wufoo for new client intake, and I integrate it with FreshBooks and MailChimp to get new clients queued up.

But then my admin has to manually add the new client contact info to Google Contacts, from where it syncs to all of our clients – iPhones, Macs and so on.

Would be lovely to have this happen automatically.

  • I think it’s a good idea to integrate with project management tools, but the main challenge in this area is there are literally over a hundred at the moment, and Basecamp is not in this market alone (and not even completely dominates the market as it did a few years ago). There are quite a few competitors at the moment and it’s very hard to support them all, unless they agree on a unified API (something that’ll probably never ever happen).
