best way to "choose top 3" or "top 5"

  • cranbocranbo April 2011
Let's say I want to have users select the order for top 3 of 5 possible answers, and rank them. They would need to order them 1, 2, and 3

What's the best way to implement this in a set of form fields, rules and pages?

I would also like to know if this is possible.
  • We don't have a ranking field. Perhaps the best option would be to have 3 dropdown fields, where they choose top preference, then second preference, then third preference.

Hi Andrew, yes I considered this, but unfortunately this strategy work too well. Using this technique, a user can choose the same answer for all 3 choices, which provides irrelevant data.

I'd like to submit this as an enhancement request.

I ended up finding a better solution to do this using Qualtrics. It actually has a ranking question type.

Interesting. We just started using Qualtrics for surveys as well. Still using Wufoo for all our web forms, though. Qualtrics certainly has some of the functionality I've seen people asking about on here, but from my perspective it's got nothing on Wufoo's ease of use and styling options.
